Urethral spasms? Suggestions please.?
I’ve been having some type of urethral spasm ( I think) lately and I’m not sure what it could be due to. I’ve had about five UTI tests done – all came back negative. I’m even going to see a urologist. Could it have something to do with taking baths, which I do often? There’s no blood and the type of pain I’m having feels like this:
- Straining on urination
- decreased flow of urination
- urgency, but when I go little comes out
- once i go, i feel like i havent completely emptied out my bladder..
Please help, any suggestions? Thanks!
My baths are usually without soap. Also, all the UTI tests I got were not home tests ,all done at hospitals. The doctors said there was no trace of an infection of any sort. Thanks everyone!
Sounds like Interstitial Cystitis which is exactly what I have. Check out www.ic-network.com for more info on this. The lining of the bladder becomes irritated and bleeds, causing many painful and annoying bladder symtoms that you are experiencing. Spasm are very common with this, along with urethral discomfort. Definitely bring up IC as an option.
