when is the best time to get a female dog spayed?

I have heard that spaying too early can cause urinary incontinence in female dogs and the most common reason females are dumped at pounds is because they “could not be housebroken” ….but it sounds to me like urinary incontinence. So when is a good time to get a female dog spayed so she does not get incontinence?

Its all a lie. Where did you ever hear housebreaking was the number one reason for dogs in shelters. Geez

I do all altering between 6-8 weeks on all litters. If they are over 8 weeks when I get them I pick up the phone and make an appointment ASAP!!!

I have a kitten now that has an appointment for after his eyes are checked only because I don’t want him under anesthesia twice I figured his neuter could wait to find out if his eyes need to be removed. Hes almost 6 months.
