Can physiotherapy make back pain worse?
I had physio for neck pain and was feeling ok as the pain wasn’t so bad anyway. But after the sixth treatment I started to get lower back pain after each treatment! After the ninth treatment (of ten) I had to give up as my whole back was in pain, especially upper back. Now four days later I’m still in pain in the lower and upper back and it seems to radiate up through my shoulders even to my ears. If I lie down for half an hour on my side, with my body straight, it’s much better, but starts up again almost as soon as I get up again. What could’ve happened?
