Lucky me! i have been diagnosed–finally???
I have been diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia–they used to call it the “suicide disease” because it is so painful. They say there are more effective treatments now, we’ll see. It sounds like the meds have lots of side effects. Anyone have any experience with this?????
Never taken them, but I generally know what medications are out there. Basically antiseizure medications. Yes, they can have side effects, and you will have to be extremely careful with cross reaction to other drugs and alcohol depending on the type of drug(s) you will be taking. But the benefit to you will likely outweigh the risks if you get even a 50% reduction in your symptoms.
