Dear Blueeyes, Kegel exercises can solve your problem if the problem is simply weakening of the pelvic floor muscles but could also be some issues involved and is also crucial that you do Kegel exercises correctly or your efforts will be useless. First, make sure you do not have any other underlying medical condition by discussing your symptoms with your primary care provider. problems of bladder control can sometimes indicate other problems. About Kegel exercises do … 1.) You can find the correct muscles by decreasing the flow of urine to empty into the toilet. I do not recommend that strive to stop the flow. Most people with incontinence can not stop the flow and therefore participate wrong muscles when trying to stop the flow. This makes his Kegel exercises ineffective. 2) In doing Kegel exercises, they do not care to engage the correct muscles and waste their efforts. Ten minutes a day is general enough to notice improvement in a couple of weeks if you have simple stress urinary incontinence. Ten minutes is to do everything at the same time though, as the muscles strengthen, you will be able to make the 10 min. in one session. 3) In addition, regularly exercising the muscles must be made whether to go to the bathroom so do not give her mixed messages in the bladder if you also have symptoms of urge incontinence. 4) Do you realize that you also have to go to the bathroom more often than your friends? Have you ever lost a bit of urine before reaching the toilet? Did you start going to the bathroom more often to avoid accidents?
