In what sports are knee injuries most common?
Just looking for information on what sports knee injuries happen the most in. Anything helps. References would be nice also. Thank you.
Football, just because it’s such a high impact sport.
Soccer, especially at professional levels where slide tackling is common. A person who accidentally gets hit during a slide tackle can very easily wrench their knee. Plus the quick changes of direction while running put a lot of strain on the knees.
Running can cause knee injuries if the runner is over training or is using an old or poorly fitting pair of sneakers. The repetitive stress can cause damage to the joints.
