orthopaedics or neuro surgery?

if I had mild buldging disc C 5-6 with central canal stenosis minimal, spinal cord normal, little lipping uncovertebralis C 5-6 at right side with right neural canal stressed, and must do surgery, where should i go: orthopaedic or neuro surgery?

Anything that involves the spinal cord is frightening and my feeling is that a neurosurgeon is the way to go. I had an anterior c-spine fusion last October- It was a 7 hour procedure and the neurosurgeon was wonderful. If I had a broken leg or arm, I would see an orthopod, but like I said, the spinal cord is a little more involved.
