What Can I Do For My Back Pain?
I suffer from severe back pain, literally, all the time. But, once in awhile, I’ll have a sort of attack of sudden pain that renders me incapable of moving. Whatever position I’m in is it, until the pain eases enough for me to move. I’ve almost passed out before, and it always brings tears of pain. I don’t tell my parents, because they cannot afford to pay for any treatment I might receive from a doctor. Is there anything I can do, on my own, that will ease these sudden pain attacks? Thank you.

I’ve been to a chiropractor, and he said he had done all that he could for me… And that wouldn’t really help sudden pain, since I can’t drive when the attacks happen.
I also can’t avoid lifting things. I’m 19, and still live with my parents, who both need me to do a lot of housework, which includes a lot of carrying – Especially boxes of groceries, etc.
be careful how you bend or reach or twist or pick up ANYTHING.
when you get stuck, initially heat (or hot shower) may help then cold later. sleep with a pillow under your knees. take advil or aleve. when your back is ok, there are exercises you can do to strengthen your back muscles.
