How can I induce labor?
I am due in 4 days, however my baby has been on my sciatic nerve for almost a month. The pain is becoming unbearable, my doctor does not want to induce, but said that she can prescribe me codein, which I do NOT want, as it slows the baby’s movement. The pain is debilitating, and I am still working just to keep my mind off of it, as I sit in a desk all day long. None of the home remedies have worked, back rub, heating pad, sports creme has worked, I just want her out ! Please help! She was almost 8 lbs nearly 2 weeks ago and the ultrasound dr said everything looked great, she just does NOT want to come. I have been 1 cm with 50% effacement for 3 weeks.
Its not the pregnancy part I cannot handle its the fact that my baby is sitting on my nerve… I have been wanting to walk for weeks now but putting any kind of pressure on my leg is agony.
They say sex and walking can induce labor, but truly nothing will work until she’s ready. You can try all you want but she’s not coming out til she’s ready. You’re gonna have to wait it out like the rest of us. Also, your dilation and effacement means nothing about when you’ll go into labor.
