I am suffering sciatic nerve pain.What type of dr. should I go see?Does anyone know what I can do for relief?

You could really do 1 of 2 things, you could see a Neurologist
first and then go to a Pain Management Clinic or you can go straight to the Clinic. I suggest the Neurologist because they can get a MRI for you and see what is bring the pain on. Likely it is a herniated or ruptured disc in your lower lumbar region, that is pressing it. X Rays do not detect those kind of
things so you really need to have a MRI.
Please,please,please do not see a chiropractor 1st, if a medical doctor feels that it would be best for you then they will
let you know that and refer you to a credible one, but I have met so many people at Physical Therapy whose lives have just been ruined because a chiropractor did not have their best intrest in mind. There are alot of good ones out there, I’m sure, but unfortunetly there are an equal amount of bad.

Oh, for relief about all you can do is try to stretch as much as your pain will allow. Alternate ice and heat 15min each, about every 2 hrs. Lay flat on your back with your knees bent if you can and get as much “down” time as possible. If you do not
have an prescripton medication yet, I always took 1 Aleve Liquid Gel and 1 Tylenol Extra Strength together. They have ingredients that are included in prescription meds and offer some relief, but never enough :+(.
