How to get back to 100% after lower back pain?

I had some terrible lower back pain that lasted for about two weeks. During that time I had no mobility, it hurt to bend at all, it hurt when getting up out of a chair. I engaged in the recommended self treatment (walking, anti-inflammatory, ice/heat). Now it has been a couple more weeks and I now have good mobility and little pain. However there is a lingering problem. My lower back muscles get tired very easily and so start hurting out of fatigue. It seems like the muscles are quite weak.

Do you have any suggestions on self care? Or is it time to visit a doctor? Thanks.

You might be misinterpreting muscle spasm with muscle fatigue.
It sounds like you had an unhappy disc. I suspect you are getting better, but if the disc is still unhappy you will still get a little pain. Laying face down and propping yourself up on your elbows will help reverse the rounding pressure normally put on the discs. Do this each morning for at least 30sec and get out of bed without rolling up and bending forward. Do this a couple of other times in the day too. If it hurts to do this then don’t.
