How can I get migraine treatment ASAP without insurance?
My headaches started approx. 10 days ago, and last between 2-4 hours. They are accompanied by severe nausea, photophobia, and are unrelieved with OTC painkillers, caffeine, rest, or cold compresses. They are becoming longer, more frequent, and more severe. I can no longer leave my house for fear that one will arise. I don’t know how much longer I can deal with this, but I don’t have health insurance and the free clinics in my area have a 2 week wait. Should I just go to the ER and deal with the bill later? The pain is extreme.
They could be caused by a food allergy although the sudden onset makes that seem unlikely. I suggest you go to the ER and request an MRI…it’s expensive but best to eliminate a possible serious cause.
