Do male dogs menstruate?
My dog is 41/2 years old, he’s a mixture of Chihuahua and Jack Russle Terrier. This morning I woke up seeing blood in his urine on his pad and drips all over like he can not control his bladder, his bladder let loose on blankets with blood. I dont know if this is normal, I know female dogs menstruate but what about male dogs?
No, male dogs do not have reproductive organs like females and do not go into heat. It sounds like your dog has something like a urinary tract infection, kidney infection, or even bladder stones. This is definitely something that needs to be addressed by a veterinarian ASAP though, as these conditions call all be life-threatening if left untreated and are very painful.
