I need help finding medical treatment for my lower back & right hip here in TX. I have no insurance .?
I am in chronic pain. The pains start in my lower back (tailbone area) & run down to my right leg & foot.
Plus, my right SI Joint & hip pop/shift in and out daily ( Painful!!!). I went to the Sports Clinic JPS Hospital in Arlington, but they said they couldn’t help me . I need to get fixed, but I have no insurance…and I won’t qualify for Medicaid for another year or so.
Is there a foundation here in TX that will take me in w/o insurance???
This is going to be difficult for you don’t give quite enough information. What state of conditioning are you in? Does the pain run into any specific toes? Do you have muscular weakness in the legs? Is there any loss of bladder or bowel function? If yes to the last two you need to see a doctor immediately!!!! What is your posture like? There are a lot of possible answers for you but without knowing the specifics it is almost impossible to give any constructive answers. From what you are stating about the pelvis you need stabilization exercises. Talk to some local physical therapists about what they might be able to do for you in the way of exercises. If you are overweight then start by losing some weight. Do this by getting out and just walking for ten minutes in one direction and then coming back. Cut out all fried foods, foods made with white flour, and sugar. This means no sodas at all. If you have access to a pool go there and start out by simply walking in chest high water. This will reduce body weight by around 40% making movements somewhat more gentle on the back. If the local Y has a warm water arthritic program try that. Some of this is going to help you and will build strength and endurance. I wish that more assistance could be given but there is just not enough to go on.
