lower neck-upper & mid back home remedies for pain?
I was in a severe car accident early last year. I have been in & out of doctors visits, seen a chiropractor, gone to physical therapy, excerise a few days a week and taken pain killers for the pain in my back and yet it still hurts like hell. Do you know of any home remedies or over the counter joint medications? Any and all suggestions will help.
Aleve seems to help me and alternating heat and cold packs. My doctor recommended a Tens machine( makes the brain think there is no pain there with electrical (small) currents. it is a little box with leads on it and uses a 9 v battery. Feels like a good massage. it has many settings. You can carry it almost anywhere. I stick mine in my back pocket or on my belt and leave the leads inside my shirt. You use it two hours , then your off 2 hours while you are awake. (Most insurance companies will cover it but the price seemed reasonable.($79 without ins but well worth it I think, some will let you rent to own.) The insurance companies rather you try to go different routes than have to pay out for surgeries
Ps if they recommended neck exercises in thereapy, Keep doing them! Seems I quit for awhile and it started coming back. Also find a good neck pillow or roll one up like I do to put under my neck when sleeping
