Grandpa has lower back/waist pain! HELP?
Well we recently went camping for 3 days and my grandpa was in pain the entire time. He said it was because he lifted a heavy box while packing. He describes the pain as a nerve twisted in his lower back/waist. Everything hurts him. I myself have to help him move from place to place. I’m 15 and I now help him with everything. I don’t mind it but I know that he is in so much pain. what home treatments or medicine can help this. He isnt able to go to a doctor…so please don’t answer with that resolution..

He must have a pinch nerve if the pain radiates. Tell him to put ice/gel pack on the source of the pain for 15-20 minutes for few times. When nerve is pinched, it swells and causes the pain, the cold pack will help the swelling go down and the nerve may be released. Get Icy/Hot back pads from any drug store, get the store brand as those are cheaper. Those pads are medicated and work great for 8-10 hours. If those remedies don’t help, may be he will need adjustment by a chiropractic.
