I am attending chiropractic sessions for my knee pain, am I doing the right thing?
I have had knee pain for 6 years now. My problem is tiny arthritis on both knees and my left leg has turned outwards. The specialists say I don’t need a surgery at this stage, so I am attending chiropractic. I have attended 4 sessions so far but I don’t see any change, the questions is whether to continue or stop before any other damage is done to the knees.
Typically, chiropractors should be avoided, as they are not real doctors and in most cases do more harm than good, all the while taking your money and recommending more alignments.
Instead, you will see much better results by eating healthy foods and getting some regular low impact exercise. Low impact exercise is essential, as it helps strengthen your muscles. Water aerobics and walking are two good exercises, but make sure to check with your doctor first.
Learning to live with arthritis is also a big step, which is where you identify what tasks are difficult for you and then find ways to make them easier.
