Why is my knee is still hurting 9 months after surgery? ?
I got hurt on the job i cracked my femar dislocated my knee cap and tore cartlidge resulting in a loose body in my knee. i hat surgery to remove the piece of cartlidge floating around but have been in pain every since. My knee is often stiff in the mornings with a bone ache, i cant straighten it out fully while walking it often trys to hyperextend. i find myself reaching for pain relief more and more often as time goes along, where closer to my surgery i seemed to be able to go without. i cant run at all with out intense pain on either side of my knee cap. the doctor says its muscle weakness but it moved from a muscle pain in the begining of recovery to a joint pain now! someone help me out !
You probably have a combination of muscle weakness due to the surgery and injury and scar tissue that has built up because of the surgery and injury. Sounds like you could use some physical therapy. You also need to stretch it out several times a day. Believe me though, therapy will do wonders.
