What causes fecal incontinence in dogs?
My dog will jump up and run to the door, but the poop will already be dropping! It’s not diarrhea – it’s the normal semi-hard dog poop that he’s always produced. He also has urinary incontinence but he’s had that for a while and has been on Proin to control it. But the fecal incontinence just started yesterday. It’s really gross! He’s an Akita/German Shepherd mix and is 9 years old. Obviously I will take him to the vet this week but I thought I’d see what people thought in the meantime….
