I recently had back fusion surgery after exploring all the ways to avoid it. I tried cortizone shots, facet injections, pain pills, PT, TENS units, Lidocaine patches…everything! When I asked 2 different doctors about spinal decompression, they encouraged me to try it, but warned me that insurance DOES NOT cover it. One doc said, “That should tell you something.” I looked into it anyway. The first thing the clinic wanted me to do was to qualify for a payment plan. Red flag! The whole process was around 5K with no guarantee for results. I had the surgery and am now pain-free 6 months later and completely off meds. Don’t listen to all the horror stories…my surgery was a complete success.
