What treatment is best for back pain and tension?
I had a bike accident years ago and have been going to the Chiropractic Centre for years on and off. The last stint was 2 years, and i really don’t see a benefit. Yes it helps at the time, but then just goes back to how it was.
I have tried physiotherapy, however, this did not work either. I am now going to try a combination of deep tissue massage, to get the tension out, combined with reflexology as it has been highly recommended and I am in two minds about whether Palates will help my posture or make the problem worst!
Any advice would be good.
Hello – I had very bad tension and pain in my shoulders and back some time ago and was in agony. I tried Bowen Therapy. It is very, very gentle and resets the energy balance in your muscles. You can Google it for more info. Initially you will feel worse for a short time as your body corrects the energy imbalance… only a day or so. Then it’s like magic and you may feel wonderful – that is if it works the same for you as it did for me. I highly recommend it. Sometimes massage and other types of heavy manipulation of the muscles only exacerbates problems. Bowen Therapy is totally different, but works. And the benefits last a long time unlike massage, where you have to keep going back.
