A bladder control problem…?
I was practicing tennis today, and after we ran for a bit, I had to lead the exercises as captain. So I was told to do some jumping jacks, and around the 5th one I could barely hold it in, and struggled through all of them to keep the pee in. Thank god I had dark shorts on, cos I did pee a little… =(
I don’t usually do this though, and I don’t have any other symptoms, like having to pee every half hour or whatever. It was just the jumping up and down that triggered it. It scared me, and I was wondering if anyone has any idea what it might be.
I drank half of a Gatorade before practice, I don’t know if that made a difference…
Anyone have any clue what it might be? Thanks…
Well, considering that Gatorade is normally in 32 oz, you probably drank around 16 oz of liquid. The human bladder can normally only hold a pint, so it’s likely that between that and whatever else you may have drank since the last time you went to the bathroom, your bladder was pretty full….. and the jumping didn’t help hold it in at all.
As long as it doesn’t happen on a regular basis, I wouldn’t be worried about it. Just make sure you go to the bathroom before long practices (Especially if you’re doing a lot of jumping and drinking to re-hydrate). If nothing else, I remember how long practices can get in high school
