How to manage wound infection after back surgery? I am under the care of my surgeon.?
I developed an infection in the surgical wound in the lower back about a week after surgery. Now I'm taking antibiotics and see the surgeon every 2-3 days. The wound still downloading some blood and yellow or white. Do I have to be very careful of my activities? This wound is dangerous? Is that still bleeding some critics? I'm not sure what to think, or whether or not to be worried.
I had six surgeries on my spine and I've only had an infection. Only luck I guess. While you are taking antibiotics heal very well! FYI, it is not necessary to see the surgeon about the infection, less is in your spine! I doubt it.
