Pain Specialist in Lahore, Pakistan? I am suffering from sever back pain where can I find a pain doctor?
I am suffering from bad facet joints and a very painful right sided sacro-iliac joint. I have done a bit of research on the internet and found out that most modern permanant treatment is radiofrequency ablation of these painful areas. Can anyone please tell me where to find a doctor in Lahore, who can do this procedure on me.
The only place for this kind of medical treatment available in Lahore, as for as I am aware is a pain clinic run by Dr. Muhammad Zafar Khan, He is a consultant in Pain Medicine at Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital. One of my uncles had asimilarr and sever back pain, we got consults from US after sending the MR scans there and they suggested radiofrequency treatment as well. This is new technology in Pakistan and even many doctors we talked were not fully aware of it. Many such patients do end up with Orthopedic doctors who can only give pain killers and pain killers damage thee kidneys and never give full relief . My uncle’s experience with the treatment provided by Dr. Zafar Khan was very good indeed, he becamepain free after few weeks of treatment and his quality of life has massively improved. I was pleasantly surprised to see the latest radiofrequency equiupment at Dr. Zafar’s clinic. The procedure was performed inside a state of the art operating room with x ray guidance.
