my mom has severe back pain right now and she went ot the doctor and the doctor said she had pulled a nerve, she is in alot of pain, just wondering when will this pain wear off??? TEN POINTS TO FIRST GOOD ANSWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!BTW SHE CAN BARELY MOVE IT HURTS< SHE CAN MOVE BUT ONLY A LITTLE..she can barely move her arms...

It really depends where the pain starts and goes. Most of my experience with this is the sciatic nerve that I hurt years ago. And the pain was more than terrible. Use ice. Ice will reduce the swelling which should reduce the pain some. Don’t take any pain pills, only aspirin if needed. But I do realize this pain is bad.
If it was the sciatic nerve, it will start in the lower back, either right or left side where the back meets the hip. The pain will then radiate down the back of the leg. It can also make the back of the leg numb. You say her arm also hurts, than it could be another nerve.
Try and find a good reputable chiropractor. A good one heals the problem and doesnt write a prescription for pain pills. You dont want pain pills for this, you want the problem to heal.
