How should I choose a proper chair to reduce lower back pain?
I’ve had lower back pain for a few years, but it’s gotten pretty bad over the last few months. I’m pretty sure it’s because of my chair at my desk, because the pain suddenly gets 5 times worse when I sit down in my chair for a few minutes.
I’ve already bought a few new chairs, but none of them solved the problem. (Even though they felt pretty comfy at the store.)
What should I do?
You need to find a Occupational Therapist and ask them to ‘measure’ you up for a chair! Chairs are usually mass produced, so one size fits all except us Humans come in diverse sizes. I was measured for my chair and it is lovely to sit in and very comfortable, because I got the measurements and then went out shopping for the chair. No point in buying a chair where your feet touch the ground or dangle in the air, where your seat area is not supporting your knees and so on, so you need to be measured. Best of Luck
