In my experience they can help you achieve a bit more than you would normally. I have osteo arthritis in my spine and wear my TENS when ironing, cooking etc. I find I can stand for longer when I’m using it.
Obviously it depends on the nature and cause of your pain. For sciatica or any nerve problems it won’t be any use at all.
For muscular or joint problems it can be an asset.
Nothing will ever take away the pain completely, but if I can do a little bit more than before I am happy.
